Big changes for our Queensland branch November 14, 2017

It is with great sadness that AFN bids adieu to Adam Kalnins, the QLD State Manager, who decided to pursue his career and personal development goals at our mother company Telstra.

On a more positive note though, AFN Solutions is jubilant after appointing its own Cameron Follett as the new Queensland State Manager.

With a strong background in technical project management and delivery, Cameron has 14 years of experience in communications and complex electronic surveillance systems.

After his career in Defence as electronics apprentice, he worked his way through the project management ranks, across a number of significant projects in both the construction and resources sectors.

Adam himself is more than pleased with the decision to promote from within his team that he has built and nurtured over the last two years “I wish Cam and the team all the best in this new phase of the business. Cam is a sensitive team leader, skilled project manager with a lengthy background in the Safety and Security sector which will ensure that the new exciting position builds on his existing experience.”

With strong team support, Cameron is really excited about AFN’s involvement in the Smart Cities movement.

“The deployment of these new technologies is being used to enrich the lives and safety of everyday Australians, throughout both our major cities and also our smaller regional town centres. That’s a challenge that I am proud to be a part of.”

“Cameron is truly a man with a vision and I have complete confidence that he will be awesome in the role,” says AFN’s Managing Director Darren Ruger.

“I also want to acknowledge Jason Veenendaal (Qld PM for Morton Bay project)”, Darren continues, “for also stepping up to apply for the position. Both of these boys were the front runners of the dozen applicants and I could not be prouder of both of them and how far they have come since joining our team.”

We wish Cam and all the members of the Queensland team all the best.
